Seven Art Post Production Studio (Wining project of Seven art design competition)
This is a group project that will be focusing on designing and building detailed planning at the provided site. The aim is to propose an interior utilization concept for a 20- storey building located at Lot 63, Seksyen 87A, Jalan Semarak (Gurney), 54100 Kuala Lumpur.
This project is a client requirement project that will be based in Malaysia. In order to execute the project, deep research about the required space and client profile is concerned to have a better understanding of the particular industry. Based on the information and findings, propose a complete interior utilization planning.
Film industry in Malaysia is way back from the international standards, lacking of proper platform and facilities for the new potential.
The organizer intended to create a better work space for the new filmmakers and small medias.
(a) Provided fully serviced facilities and accommodation for all the productions workers
(b) To promote and popularize Malaysia’s filming and production industry
(c) To work as a connection hub of international film industry
The project area taken by me is located at the 9th floor to 11th floor, which including accommodation and post production studios with a list of recording and sound facilities also some working areas.
Post production studio has been transformed with curvy walls and partitions to take the visitor through a journey of the designed space.At 11th floor , the lift lobby id greeted with curve partition that provide semi-enclosed and connecting to the post production studio. The spiral stairs allows direct link to the accommodations , creating more convenience for the user. Accommodations are located in the 12th floor, it offers choice of hotel suites and capsules that allows visitors to rest in. The hotel suits features artistic interior with a layer of warmness creating a homey atmosphere for the visitors.
This is a part of a Winning project in the Salon film design competition with a undergraduate design students in First City University College. The competition was organized by a Hong Kong film company Salon Co. for designing their Southeast Asia Headquater in Malaysia.
