The concept of the design is inspired by the personality of my client Mr Sakai Masato, which is a Japanese. In order to suits him better the concept of simplicity and minimal have developed. The design of the container home refers lots from traditional Japanese home layout which have a very warmth and clean ambiance. To achieve the minimal and cozy atmosphere, a large amount of timber and white surface have been applied on both exterior and interior finishing.
On the exterior , the texture of the container is maintain and painted in white. For the interior, laminated wood flooring is applied as floor finishing and most of the furniture are also in timber, as well as window frames, columns, canopy and other more. Massive opening ,such as skylight and huge window provide a great amount of natural light which enhance the lighting effect of the interior and also resolve the cram and overwhelming space. Beside that, the great amount of opening also help to connect people with nature, which create an oasis in the concrete jungle.
